Sales & Retention Convention - Thanks

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Sales & Retention Convention last week. It was a great turnout with 40 people in the room from a wide range of leisure centres, gyms, and private clubs from all over the country.

One of the key themes was comparing traditional marketing with new digital trends and processes. A lot of ground was covered throughout the day, including lead generation, referrals, retention communications, surveys and reviews. Wayne Elliott from Feefo opened a lot of minds with the potential usage and pitfalls with online reviews, and how to build social trust. All the presentations linked sales and retention processes creating a joined-up approach for the fitness industry.

There was a great deal of interaction in a kahoot survey to get the day started, and the kahoot quiz after lunch had delegates on their feet competing for the top spot. Congratulations to Brett Porter from Club Manager Central who won first prize.

Feedback is still coming in for the event, but initial comments include:

  • The convention was very informative and I have taken away lots of useful information and tools.  To the point that I couldn't sleep last night as there was too much energy and ideas running around in my head.  Thank you
  • The practical ideas for events and challenges were great, as were the stats on best responses from different comms routes
  • Impressive topics discussed and relevant to the industry. Very information heavy, however the stats and slideshows were vital to get point across.

Thanks again to everyone who made it happen. We look forward to the next event… hopefully in April 2017… watch this space.

Delegates have links to all the content from the day… we will also publish blog articles with an overview of the content over the next few weeks.
